CONSULTATIONS
Home or Office
We walk through the area to be redesigned, and talk about what you want from the space, including your likes and dislikes. I listen to ideas and suggestions - take notes and pictures. Items not needed in the room are indicated. If possible, furnishings and accessories from other areas may be noted as potential enhancements.  As we transition from consultation to redesign, you decide your level of involvement in the process.  I follow up by sending you a written summary of what we have discussed.

“SmartStaging”
We walk through the entire interior and exterior areas. I take notes and pictures. I evaluate and address specifics for each space. I indicate what needs to be accomplished prior to staging: furniture or accessory removal or repositioning, repairs, painting, cleaning and de-cluttering. I follow up by sending you a written summary of what we have discussed.

REDESIGNS
Home
If possible, on the day of the redesign, the room should be “rearrange ready”. This means all items indicated for removal are gone, and large items we want from other locations have been brought into the space. If this is not possible, it becomes part of the day’s work. On the day of staging, I rearrange large furnishings, then accessorize. I go back through the room to give finishing touches where needed and make any changes to assure your satisfaction.

Office
On the day of the redesign, the room should have desks cleared and equipment unplugged and ready to be moved if necessary. Items such as potted plants, pictures, etc. should be boxed or placed away from the main area to be worked. Large pieces are rearranged and essential equipment is appropriately positioned.  The result is an effective work space.

“SmartStaging”

Interior: As discussed during the consultation, all necessary painting, cleaning, and removal of non-essential items should be accomplished before staging. Interior items that are to be used in the staging area are in pre-designated rooms or easily moved on the day of staging. If any of this is not possible, it becomes part of the work day. On the day of staging, I rearrange large furnishings first, then accessorize, accentuating the positive aspects of your home. I go back through the rooms to give finishing touches where needed.
Exterior: Areas should be mowed and weeded and items discussed during the consultation need to have been addressed. I will arrange outside furnishings such as lawn and deck furniture and accessorize. Curb appeal will be addressed.
